This sensor detects air quality via a MOX (metal-oxide semiconductor) element, which is sensitive to water vapour. Readings are only reliable when relative humidity is below ~70%; above ~85% RH the value is heavily distorted by moisture and should not be taken at face value. The current environment is quite humid (~80-100% RH), so treat the IAQ number as indicative only.
